The Academy of Living Literacy is Corpus Christi’s premier private learning center.  It is an early childhood facility centered on the academic and developmental needs of pre-school children, ages 3-5.  At The Academy of Living Literacy, children engage in a nurturing environment filled with multifaceted learning opportunities, supported by a team of university-based educators.  The curriculum focuses on  bringing literacy alive by providing children with real life interactions that support language, literacy and learning.  With this in mind, community members and working professionals will be invited to teach children through rich, active, hands-on experiences that enhance the natural progression of learning.  Above all, the program is designed to support each child’s cognitive, social, and emotional development by establishing a profound educational foundation that will promote passionate, high achieving, lifelong learners

Academy Grades of Private Learning Center

Pre-K 3
Children in this program must be 3 years of age and potty trained. It is through this program where children gain their fundamental academic foundation. Behavior expectations, social interactions and classroom etiquette are a few elements included in the program.
Pre-K 4
Children in this program are typically 4 years of age and are eager to gain knowledge through a more challenging curriculum. Small group interactions, literacy-based centers and mathematical concepts are a few of the areas highlighted in this program.
Pre-K 5
Children in the 5-year-old program are in the process of getting kinder ready. Their instruction promotes a seamless transition into a kindergarten classroom. Individual writing, guided reading and STEAM opportunities further prepare these children to become lifelong learners.
